Hope Heritage Days 2009

This past weekend was our town’s 42nd annual Heritage Days Festival.  We always spend the whole weekend wandering back and forth from our house to the Spinster’s and to the festivities that lie in between our two houses on the town square.

The Spinster makes several large batches of chili and people just come and go all day at her house, eating chili, playing cornhole and ping pong.  It was a great weekend, even though the Spinster and I suffered several ping pong defeats at the hands of Nancy & Susie.  However, we did skunk them on one game, 7 to zip!  So that made all the losses worth it!

Here are some pics from the weekend…

It was a great weekend and Sunday evening the short walk from the Spinster’s to our house seemed like it was an hour long.  We came home and collapsed on the couch just in time to watch the Colts game!

Sounds like a lot of fun!
Wish they had parades near my house.
But then I’d have to live in the city, so I’ll be happy to just visit.
