And The Fascination With Headwear Continues

The girls got gift cards to Target for Easter and we just recently got around to spending them.  Katie chose to buy an outfit with her gift card.  Very sensible, that girl.  I wanted to put a picture of her on here, but she doesn’t like having her picture on the blog, so I will just have to tell you that it is a very adorable black and white number.  We painted her fingers and toes in an alternating black & white pattern to really pull the look together.  😉

Hannah chose a teddy bear, a tub full of goo, fake bugs, and this…I give you…LADY LIBERTY!

She wore it all around the store.  And she totally thought she was the coolest kid in the world.

I wonder when this love of headwear will wear off.  I will be sad to see the day when she is too cool to sport things like this around as it provides us with lots of entertainment.

Very cute hat! Who knows…maybe she’ll grow up and be a millener!! A lady in our community has her own millenery (sp??) business and my daughter thinks she is just about it!! Very fashionable, you know?!?! “Hannah”‘s just must know that sort of thing! 😉

That is so funny that she walked around the store with it on her head. It is so funny how each child is so different.

I think you should take a picture of her every year with her lady liberty head dress.
That is until she refuses. Still then, Nancy can hold her down and you could put it on her and get a picture. Would be cute when she’s say, 30 and still posing with that thing. tee hee

Love the Lady Liberty head gear! One of my girls was the Statue for Halloween, years ago — she is now 23, but I remember sewing yards of green cotton into a toga-like outfit! It’s probably up in the attic; Halloween costumes live on forever.

I’m glad you like our old house — it’s taken us years to get it, and I’m still amazed! Our last house was terrific, a 1918 brick Craftsman, but it was on a river, and we experienced a couple of floods — I was looking through your blog and saw the flood story — oh my I completely empathize with you — I have similar pictures of mud-covered cellar; it was heartbreaking. The last one was in 2007, and we decided, enough was enough. I miss the river, for it was beautiful, but I don’t miss the worry and the water.

    We’re on a HILL now!

Anyway, I wanted to tell you that you are a wonderful writer with a good voice — I’ll be back!

    Cass
